We drove to a great lookout to see a panoramic view of
Wellington.
The girls even sat in
front of a monument made of rocks from Antarctica. We learned a little of the history of Wellington’s
role in supporting the earliest scientific discovery missions to
Antarctica.
We took a short drive down to Paekakariki Holiday Park. We have an adorable lodge for all of us in
this beachside town. We all walked down
to the beach and watched a few of the brave Honeybears swim in the Tasman
Sea!
We are looking forward to a great dinner in town, and are
excited to explore Wellington tomorrow and take a private guided tour of the
National Museum. We are all in awe of
the beauty found in New Zealand!
